Sans outlines

Stopped to smell the roses. When I draw there’s a constant pull between what it looks like & what it feels like. Drawing this felt consistent, delicate, and brought some surprises. Before it felt finished I went back to define the outlines & once that was done, it lost its delicacy. A reminder that it doesn’t matter if it looks like the rose. What matters is how I want it to feel.
