Abstraction lets my mind breathe. It’s therapeutic to mindlessly draw lines on a page without consequence.
I spent a magical weekend redefining my passions and gaining clarity about what I want and need for myself, & I’m grateful for the time to gain perspective and come back to abstraction.
You know when you find a space you love & don’t really know why? You just know when it feels good. These are a couple near my job in North Beach, SF that make me feel good. I imagine how they came to be and I’m reminded the values about space and place are intuitive. At least for me, I don’t really have to think about it. I know when it feels good and when it doesn’t. Principals in feng shui go in depth about how the energy flows through spaces and how we should organize space based on those energies. But really, when you know you know. I’m working on strengthening my gut to be better at knowing.
